The Big Fat Update - Madrid Day 2

Palacio Real was the first stop of the day. This place was the royal palace of the Spanish kings in the past. The interior was intricately-decorated, but too bad we were not allowed to take photos inside.

We stopped for a quick lunch at Campo del Moro which is big garden just next to the palace. Afterwards, we went to Templo del Debod which housed an Egytian temple. We then took a cable car ride towards Casa del Campo which was a large green lush housing an amusement park, a lake, many picnic areas, aquarium zoo (similar to underwater world). Upon reaching the top of Casa del Campo, we walked down towards the lake before chancing upon this “pasar malam” version of Madrid. We bought a local dish called cochinillo which basically refers to roasted suckling pig. Full portion costs 5 euros; we bought half portion before realizing this was barely enough for 4 people. We then sat down by the artificial lake Lago to soak in the sun while it lasted cos the sun sets by 6 pm nowadays.
